How much shagun should I give at an Indian wedding?
There is no fixed amount – it depends on how close you are to the family and on your own family's custom. Close relatives usually give more than friends or colleagues, and many people add ₹1 to a round amount, such as ₹101, ₹501, ₹1,101 or ₹2,101. Why do people add ₹1 to shagun?

Will a ₹500 note fit in a shagun envelope without folding?
Yes – most LIFAFEWALA envelopes are about 19 × 9–9.5 cm, and a ₹500 note is 15 × 6.6 cm, so it fits flat. ₹100 and ₹200 notes, gift cards and vouchers fit too. The exact size is listed on each product page.
Which envelope finish should I choose?

Shagun envelope or shagun box – which is better?

How many envelopes do I need for a wedding?
Count every ceremony where you will give shagun, then add about 10% spare. A pack of 20 suits a single family function; weddings with many ceremonies, relatives and staff usually need 100 or 200. Bigger packs cost less per envelope.
Can I get my name printed on shagun envelopes?
